Dear Levana:
One of my students forwarded a note about your upcoming Freire 101 class–Exciting!! I can not come but am a professor and educator of K-12 (at UC Davis) and higher educators (at CIIS) who is very committed to a similar approach in my own teaching. I will be offering a “Teaching Skills” class in SP 2012 organized around teachings of Freire and hooks and am wondering if you would consider coming as a guest speaker (a year from now so time to plan. It would be great to chat on the phone at a time of your convenience about common interests and projects. Tell me when that might be if you are so inclined.
In solidarity.

Dear Levana,
I am an educator and PhD student interested in using T.O. and participatory theatre with middle school students. Your work sounds extremely interesting and I would love to talk to you about your experiences and insights in starting new projects. Is there any chance you will be attending the upcoming Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed conference in Berkeley this month? If not, it would be great to talk or connect by email. Thanks for sharing your resume and work with the world!
Best,
Anneliese
